The Client now has an externally hosted RIedms platform within SharePoint 2013. The search facility built into this platform sources information very precisely and instantly with the added benefit of having a document preview built into the side panel of the search. This feature allows the end user to quickly browse documents prior to opening.

As well as the FM provider saving time hunting for information from the hard copy archive, the projects team saves time and survey resource as they send pertinent information directly to the Contractor or provide them external access to the areas of the system they require.

Manage all project record information for the Bank's European HQ.

All projects including moves and changes use Global Documentation's record information specification as the standard format. Following technical approval from the project team, Global Documentation ensured that the information was structured correctly prior to processing and uploading onto the RIedms platform.

All projects were dated and catalogued accordingly.

The client is an engineering company that manufactures and distributes luxury automobiles and automobile parts worldwide.

The Project

Update the existing RIedms platform Global Documentation implemented in 2008. This encompassed upgrading the system to the latest version and including additional information from expansion projects which had been carried out at the facility.

Outcome

The original RIedms was updated to the latest version of the Global Documentation  platform allowing for easier and more cost effective updating, All new Record Information was generated from the facility upgrade projects since the original system was incorporated into the system.

An extensive electronic archiving system was produced holding all of the Facilities Record Information and the system utilises a powerful indexed PDF search engine for fast access to all information within the system.

The system is totally updatable and can be accessed by contractors to interrogate when development work is carried out at the facility. The system is accessible from any company facility connected to the company intranet around the world.
